235 Miles
Start Richmond, North Yorks, End Richmond
North Yorks
This route is a figure of 8 centred on
the market town of Alston on the banks of
the River Tyne near the source of the south
tributary. There a mixture of small slower
roads and fluent sport roads across this
stunning and dramatic landscape.
Historical connections abound along the
B6318 which follows the path of Hadrian’s
Wall. The A686 and A689 are faster roads
but care still needs to be taken as there
are some sharp ascents and descents on the
routes.
